Harold and the Purple Crayon

10:30amOne crayon. One character. Go. Take a ride with Harold and his trusty crayon as he hops a ride on a flying saucer, shares a pie with French-speaking critters, and explores the heavens above using stars as stepping stones. This imaginative world-premiere musical uses breathtaking animation, inventive puppetry and an indie-music score to bring Harold’s purple-hued world to life, perfect for introducing young children to theatre and captivating their older companions. Geared for ages: Pre-K+ By Don Darryl Rivera. Based on the books by Crockett Johnson. Valley classes will not be held this day.

Warner Nature Center
Due to class sizes and availability, the MTThF Class will now attend the Warner Nature Center on Friday, March 30 with Valley's WThF Class instead of Tuesday, March 27 with the MT AM Class. Springtime Surprises
We’ll create a Mother’s Day surprise while making our very own recycled paper. We’ll learn about different springtime babies in the Warner woods and enjoy a forest hike.
WAMSO KinderKonzert

WAMSO has invited us to a Kinder Konzert at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis. Preschoolers, ages 4 and 5, will be seated onstage with the musicians from the internationally-acclaimed Minnesota Orchestra. The musicians will demonstrate their instruments and play a concert created especially for children. Children will also participate in a Sound Factory, a guided workshop that offers children a chance to make sounds on real orchestral instruments. Sound Factory activities make up half of the Kinder Konzert program. Everyone is welcome to attend as long as your child is 4 by the concert date. The age requirement is a WAMSO rule and we would like to adhere to it. Therefore, we reserve tickets every year so if your child is not old enough to attend this year, he or she will have another opportunity next year. Valley Preschool classes will not be held this day. This year’s story is Mamma Don’t Allow by Thacher Hurd.
