Spanish Immersion Teacher – Part Time
Valley Preschool is seeking a Spanish Immersion teacher for the 2012-2013 school year for preschool and primary age students. The position will require minimal hours this spring and summer and classes will begin in September 2012. Classes are held year-round. Fall and Spring sessions are on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Summer Session dates and times are to be determined at a later date. Time requirements for class days are 12:30pm-6:15pm. Paid teacher hours include 11 hours and 30 minutes per week for class, prep, and clean-up time, along with an additional 100 hours (approx) per school year for other lead teacher responsibilities. Compensation is $14-$17 per hour depending on education and experience.

Required Qualifications
Teaching License in:
Second Languages and Cultures Education
Native Spanish Speakers with a license in Early Childhood,
Elementary Education, or a related field
Long-term Commitment to the Program
Experience working with Preschool or Elementary Age Students
Spanish FluencyDesired Qualifications
Native Spanish Speaker
Certificate or Training in Dual Language or Immersion Education
Spanish Teaching Experience at the Preschool or Elementary Level
Dual Immersion Teaching Experience
